Img Q. How is Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) different from Refined / Conventional Coconut Oil?
Conventional coconut oils are extracted from dried coconut meat. Refined coconut oils are extracted from backed coconuts and then bleached to kill off microbes and remove any dust particles and insects. But VCO is extracted from milk of fresh coconuts by cold press process. The drying or heating process and bleaching reduces the number of polyphenols , medium-chain fatty acids and nutrients available. These are all retained in VCO due to cold press process. VCO has an excellent, mild coconut taste and a sweet aroma whereas refined coconut oil is colorless and deodorized

Q. What is virgin coconut oil?
Virgin Coconut Oil means Unrefined (not refined, bleached or deodorized) cold pressed oil (mechanically produced, no chemicals used) made from fresh coconut milk. . It is the purest and freshest form of coconut oil which is mild, non-sticky and more effective than ordinary coconut oil.

Q. What is cold pressed virgin coconut oil?
Cold-pressing means there is no heat required to produce VCO. Only Mechanical centrifuge separates oil from fresh coconut milk.

Q. How VCO acts as an Immunity booster?
Every one knows that the kids fed with mother’s milk are more healthy than kids with bottle feeding. Because of Lauric acid present in Mother’s milk. The same compound which is also rich available in Virgin coconut oil and acts as a immunity booster for all age groups.

Q. How VCO acts as a hand sanitizer?
Lauric acid and antimicrobial fatty acids present in VCO can destroy the viral membrane on the applied areas like hands. Apply VCO on your hands every time you go out. It smoothens your hands.

Q. Is frozen coconut oil better than liquid?
Virgin Coconut oil starts solidifying below 25 degree Celsius. Frozen or liquid, virgin coconut oil has the same benefits.

Q. Does coconut oil need to be refrigerated? How you can tell VCO is chemical free?
No, coconut oil does not need to be refrigerated. Its natural antioxidants give it the longest shelf life of any plant oil. Rich natural antioxidants which are retained due to cold press process, keeps the oil from oxidation and rancidification. We don’t need to add any chemical preservatives for storage.

Q. Does coconut oil having saturated fats is unhealthy?
No. The MCTs (medium chain triglycerides) present in the oil do not raise bad cholesterol and rather increase HDL (good cholesterol level) in the body. Moreover, coconut oil is easily digested and is not deposited as fat in the arteries because it gets metabolised directly and promotes weight loss

Q. Will consuming coconut oil daily make to gain weight?
No. Consuming coconut oil does not contribute to weight gain. In fact, it helps to aid weight loss. Coconut oil boosts metabolism and reduces appetite which eventually leads to weight loss. Responsible diet and regular exercise are of course needed as well
